报告人简介:
Ugo Galvanetto received a master degree (1989) and a PhD (1993) in structural engineering, both from the university of Padua, Italy. After a post-doc in the Dept. of Aeronautics of Imperial College London he moved back to Padua as a lecturer in structural engineering. In 1999 he returned to the Dept. of Aeronautics of Imperial College where he was Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader in aerospace structures. In 2008 he took up the first chair in aerospace structures of Padua university, where he still is. He worked mainly in the field of computational mechanics applied to various problems: nonlinear dynamics and chaos, mechanics of composite materials, aeroelasticity, impact mechanics of items of personal protective equipment. After returning to Padova he started a research group very active in the application of Peridynamics based computational methods to various crack propagation problems. Prof. Galvanetto is the author of more than 100 papers published in prestigious international journals and he is an associated editor of the Journal of Peridynamics and Nonlocal Modeling.
