Process of application for suspension and resumption of study for International students of Hohai University
International students who have to leave university for more than three months due to illness or other reasons should apply for suspension studies. The applicant shall fill in the form and with the relevant certificate, such as documents from the hospital. The applicant shall submit the application form to International School after approval by the secretary (Bachelor) or the supervisor (Master and Doctor), and also the dean of college. And after approval by International School, the application shall report to Teaching Affairs Department (Bachelor) or Graduate School (Graduates). International students who have been approved to leave university shall go through the formalities for leaving, and the management responsibility during the period of suspension shall be borne by the students themselves and their families. The university reserves the student status, but it is not allowed to participate in the course study and assessment. The accumulated study time and suspension time (including other retention time) of international students shall not exceed the maximum study years.
International students should apply to resume of studies one month before the end of suspension. Only the application resume has been approved, the students can resume their studies.
