Notice on Continued Delay of the New Semesterto International Students
Dear International Students:
With the corona virus savaging China, the whole nation stays united and confronts the difficulties without any fear. After all-out efforts, the overall situation of the pandemic in China has shown a positive trend, the order of production and life has been restored rapidly. Nevertheless, under a still grim and complex situation, preventing the spread of the virus within a certain region while guarding against imported cases remains our pressing tasks currently.
The University therefore has decided to postpone the new semester again. The following are some folds.
The University won't reopen for international students (including new students) by Apr.30, 2020 and will inform in advance of the accurate opening date based on the pandemic prevention and control accordingly. Those who live on campus must abide by the university rules and any Entry or Exit of the Campus is prohibited without official permission. Those who live off campus should comply with local government regulations and Return to the University without official permission is strictly forbidden. The international students abroad at present are suggested to consider life safety as priority, reduce unnecessary travel and Return to China is not allowed until the University resumes.
Keep following the online course schedules. The students are required to continually attend the online courses and focus on study and research. Please stay in touch with the relevant teachers and colleges concerning the defense and diploma issues, which are promoted correspondingly under the rules of the Teaching Affairs Department, the Graduate School and the International School.
Fighting with the virus is our common responsibility. Take care of yourself and pay close attention to the information announced officially. Don't believe in and spread rumors. Avoid crowds, wash hands often, ventilate the room and maintain reasonable living for better self-protection. See the doctor immediately for any symptom like fever, cough, headache, fatigue and respiratory distress.
Dear international students, China is your second hometown and Hohai University is a warm famliy for everyone. We're concerned about your well-being all the time and let us stay solidarity, work together to tide over the tough time. Best wishes to you and the family!
